Well had a bit of a let down I think after finishing my last picture and have gone several days without the desire or energy to get back to work.  Pretty back when I'd rather clean or do garden closing work.  I do have a portrait in process, but want to be sure I have enthusiasm and energy when I work on it.

So today I finally got geared up to try a real landscape with sky and water, the double whammy.  I like the sky, the bottom part of the picture is suspect at best.  Anyway, it is a start and I will continue to try and try again.

This is on Artagain paper.  Thought I'd try to do paper until I get my feel back a bit and then try out some of the Pastel board that I got.  I am surprised at how many layers the Artagain will take, even though it has a pretty smooth surface, might be because it is recycled.  I kind of am fascinated with the clouds so might try to concentrate on them a bit.  Would like to get them light and fluffy.  Downloaded several potential landscapes this morning so am going to try to work through them and again, hope to see some improvement between now and the end.

Thanks much for stopping by -  today is supposed to be our last day of almost 90 and by Saturday we don't get out of the 60s.  So as usual for us it's air condition this afternoon and heat in the morning!!

Oh, my... this is gorgeous! There are so many things I love about it. I'm a lazy blog reader and rarely click to enlarge pictures to really look closely, but not with this one. The depth, energy, and mood of the clouds... The softness and reflection in the water... The perfect imperfections of the boat...Very, very nice.

I think the sky is perfect. I really don't see where you need to do anything else in the entire painting - just sign it. Really, really
A fabulous sky indeed, Nelvia! I hope you get your mojo back soon. I have had the same problem before after completing a complicated piece; it seems to drain you and you need a while to recoup but it does come back - lol. Enjoy the warmth while it lasts - we have snow on the mountains.
