New Fantasy Piece acrylic realism

                                                                                                               This is the new project in my fantasy series.  The inspiration for this came from a terrific reference photo from Neil A. Kinsbury, from PMP, who has posted some fabulous and very dramatic shots.  He is a story teller extraordinary.   I have wanted to do a number of his shots for some time now. 

Decided I wanted to do this in acrylic and in a Singer Sargent feel.  Oh that I could only do his brush work and strokes!!  also was ready for some very structured realism, I sure don't know why.    I must be excited about the piece as I was up very early this morning raring to get started on it.   I wanted to be sure I got the face blocked in all in one setting so that the colors are similar and I just felt I had it going.    I already am half in love with the drama of this piece.

I think the title of this piece is going to be Fortune Teller, so I am changing it up from Neil's Gypsy Veil.  Now I have got to tell you that I am not a witch, although I love Harry Potter and read a lot of Nora Roberts.  (Sorry if you are disappointed at this point)  But I felt this needed more to tell the story, so I am going to use some symbolism in this piece to really complete the story that Neil has started.

Looking good Nelvia! Why would people be disappointed to hear that you read Harry Potter and Nora Roberts? Both do well written stories and have huge following. Have fun with this one!

DAY 19 Noise

Noise I have noticed, now that we live out of the hard core suburbia, how much we get quiet.  I mean actual quiet, no kids, no dogs, not cars, not motorcycles, no sirens, etc. etc.  How many waves, noise carrying waves, go through our bodies every day.   Phone, radio, tv, fiber optics, microwave, etc. etc.   Can that really be good for us? Anyway, I never know what I am going to get and this was a pretty quick one since I had a big time work day, for me.   But I got some really clean windows - am really ready for Fall, wish the temperature could understand how ready I really am for Fall!!. Nicolae's Giraffe Over the years we have decided the places we like to visit and have gone back multiple times.   In this day and age I think it is uncommon that in a hotel environment the workers would have been there 10-35 years.  So friendships develop.   Each of the people we have encountered have made our stays extra special in a variety of ways.   One of the ladies that works the check in desk had a baby last year.   Since we were unable to go in November we just saw her when we were in DC.   He is now 14 months, and in love with giraffes.  She has a yellow and gray nursery decor and I wanted to do a giraffe.   Wasn't sure if it should be the "kiddie" kind, but thought he might outgrow it.   So I decided to do one semi realistic so that he wouldn't outgrow it right away.  Aren't they just the strangest looking animal?
