Searching

Searching
Well Carol, I am going with your suggestion that you should name it something that you think it makes you feel.  This piece certainly has plenty of incomplete areas and goes from hard to soft, so I think Searching is appropriate.  This is a more complex piece than I  have tried before and has several more steps to it.  And there are lots more things to try with some of these techniques.

Thanks much for stopping by and taking a look.

It looks almost like a wood surface in the background. Did you use saran wrap for the effect or scrape into the paint? Nice piece!

Really love this piece! You can also expand on the feeling for example
Who is Searching/What am I searching for/What Will be Revealed etc
The concept search! Great work!

The bottom green area makes me feel as if I am looking down on it. But the blue lines suggest... something. A box? I see the suggestion (accidental) of a figure on the left, only the back of his head is showing as he is looking into the box. I see his back, and one arm reaching up to the edge of the box. Oh this is freaky, but now he has turned his head and I see part of one eye looking at me.
I see a total of five faces... in the background. WOW ;)
It is always fascinating to read other people's thoughts on a painting. My eye went right to the blue and I immediately thought "portal". Dodn't someone say something like 'what's in a name - a rose by any other name would smell as sweet"? Great job Nelvia.

Do you think you can get too far out there

I see what you see but haven’t found 5 faces, isn’t our imagination wonderful

Sure enough, I am convinced that is why people like abstract so much
